Exciting Enrichment August 10th 11-3

Learn how the Zoo uses enrichment and see it in action.  Every half hour a different animal will receive new enrichment.  See how a monkey forages for food or how much fun a box with catnip can be for a Leopard.

Backyard Friends August 23rd 11-3

Stop by the Zoo while animals that are native to New England are highlighted.  Listen to keeper talks and make a birdfeeder to take home to the animals in your backyard.  Event sponsored by the Totsy Foundation

String of Memories September 7th 2-4

Complete an afternoon of conservation activities and receive a bead for each activity you participate in.  Become a conservation hero and receive a totem bead.  Pre-registration required.

Solids, Liquids and Gasses, Oh My!       Sept. 20th 11-3

Explore the wonderful world of polymers.  Play with slime, make your own putty and learn all that polymers have to offer.

Zoo on the Go Parties

Can't come to the Zoo have the Zoo come to you.

Does your child love animals and enjoy coming to the Zoo?  Do any of your family and friends live far from the Zoo?  Do you want to make your child's birthday a memorable one?

If you answered yes to any of these questions than a Zoo on the Go at home birthday is for you!  For this birthday we bring the Zoo to you!  You will choose seven animals from our large variety of animal ambassadors.  This one hour long program is a hands on program where your child and his or her friends will get to learn interesting facts about exotic animals and touch them too!  This wild time is perfect for children and adults of all ages. 

We will email you a link with animal themed invitations for you to print at home.

Pricing: $200 per hour and a travel fee may apply.

The Zoo is now offering birthday parties for up to 20 people in our new Robert Davis Discovery Room. We will open up the Zoo special for you and your guests. You will have two hours to explore the Zoo and all that it has to offer, even in the winter. You also have use of the Discovery Room which is equipped with crafts, books, puppets, games, puzzles and more. Call extension 120 for more information or to book a party. Reservations go fast so book your party today!
